Springfield Mo Real estate - September 2008 

Springfield Missouri Real Estate, Ozark, Nixa, Rogersville, Republic, Willard and surrounding areas.

 The Springfield Missouri Real Estate market icontinues to re-adjust with the month of August closing 585 homes.  Through the gloom and doom of today's economic crisis, our area surrounding Springfield continues remain stable.  Sellers are realizing in order to sell their homes, prices must adjust down.  Home values are not dropping compared to other areas of the country, but they do continue to drop.

2407 Springfield Missouri Real Estate agents continue to work in Springfield and surrounding areas, a decrease from 2007 .

 The majority of Springfield Mo homes are still being financed with conventional financing, followed up by VA and FHA.  Less than 10% paid cash.  First time home buyers are still able to purchase using Government Rural Development funds.

Not all home owners understand the term "Short Sales."

Short sales are a way for homeowners facing foreclosure to possibly save their credit and recover faster than turning the keys back to the bank and walking away from their most treasured possession.

I'm currently working with several homeowners to sell their home quickly and avoid foreclosure from the banks.  Many agents steer away from these type of homeowners from lack of knowledge on how to successfully close short sales.

Losing their job, a death in the family, or medical problems are some of the reason homeowners fall behind in their payments.  Refinancing is only a "short term" solution to stay in the home a little longer (if the bank will refinance).  Selling a home in today's market, with falling prices, has forced more homeowners  to accept offers and bring money to closing.  Closing become impossible if a homeowner has no money to spare.

But banks are not willing to accept a low offer on all short sales.  If you are facing foreclosure, call me.  We may be able to help you sell your home quickly and help save your credit rating.
